THE 2011 Toy Trust FUNdraiser
in association with Great Ormond Street Hospital
The Toy Trust FUNdraiser took place at Rutland Water on 11th June 2011 in association with Great Ormond Street Hospital.
£45k of the total money raised on the day went to Great Ormond Street Hospital to help raise money to re-vamp and re-equip the hospital’s five play therapy areas that help seriously ill children cope with their stay at the hospital.
The work on these play areas was completed in early 2012 and a video documenting the creation of this amazing project can be found here.
The day’s events included a 27km bike ride, 7km run, three legged race, egg and spoon race and raft race all in costume. There were also activities such as face painting and circus skills.
14 teams from the toy industry took part in total, with the winners as follows:
BIKE RIDE – PAUL COON – TOMY TIGERS
RUN – MARK ASHURST – LEARNING CURVE
RAFT RACE – VIVID TOY
THREE-LEGGED RACE – KALIE & LYDIA – LEARNING CURVE
